SESSIONS RECOMMENDS: LONDON'S BEST SISTER RESTAURANTS TO MICHELIN STARS

We catch up with our Operations Director, Caroline Corthouts, to chat about her favourite sister restaurant to a Michelin Restaurant...Brat X Climpson's Arch!

SESSIONS RECOMMENDS IS OUR WEEKLY SERIES WHERE WE SIT DOWN WITH A MEMBER OF OUR TEAM FOR A 5 MINUTE CHAT ABOUT THEIR CURRENT FAVOURITE RESTAURANTS.

Caro

Caro is our Operations Director at Sessions looking after the operationalisation of any brand that enters the Sessions network - covering menu development, supply chain and packaging. You can find her downing coffee syrup or running circles around anyone she meets on the tennis courts...

WHERE ARE YOU EATING AT THE MOMENT?

I came across Brat X Climpson's Arch through One Zone. It’s an app that gives you the trendiest places for like every single purpose. Think Instagram combined with Open Table...if you don't have it yet, download it now!

So I actually prefer Brat X Climpson's Arch to the OG Brat Restaurant because it's more accessible and with Brat itself, you have to wait SO long to get a booking, the menu is actually pretty much the same and the vibes are not as good as in Climpson's Arch.

Obviously everyone talks about Brat X Climpson's Arch and it's also probably one of the only restaurants I have never heard a bad review about. One of the things that I spoke to them about, is how they have leveraged the customer base and advertising from OG Brat, taken all of that and used it in a bigger, more open space, made it more laid back with not as much pressure, changed the customer style and made the portions are bigger.

So I currently have 3 favourite dishes there… one is a piece of bread, one is a side and one is a main. The bread one is basically their anchovy focaccia which they are notorious for. It is one of those dishes where anchovy haters have said they won't eat it but then love it. It’s a pre main ordering thing, if that makes sense…? When I go, I always get the lemon sole as a main and it’s genuinely the best thing ever. It is smoked in butter and served with a side of smoked potatoes. Now…these potatoes are squished and then cooked on a smokey grill. Crunchy in every way. Crispy like a crisp on the outside and inside is so soft and smokey.
