We sat down with Big Has to get some life advice, delivered in his signature no-nonsense style that's made his Sunday Sessions YouTube series so popular.
What's the best advice you've ever been given?
Actually, I need to think about this....can I swear? Ok, go on! The best advice I've been told is "chuck it in the f**k it bucket!"
Sometimes, I write things down on pieces of paper, scrunch them into tight little balls and then chuck it in the f**ck it bucket. The f**ck it bucket being the bin. The theory being that you then move on. It doesn't always work, I hold on to things, but I'd say it's up there with some of the best advice I've been told.
Who gave you that advice?
My ex girlfriend, but we don't need to get into that.
What's the worst advice you've received?
First, STOP putting olive oil in pasta water. It doesn't do anything. You're just wasting olive oil. TV chefs that say cook your onions for 10 minutes to gain flavour - you never gain any flavour, you need to do at least 20-25 minutes.
Oh and washing chicken is one that splits the crowd! Personally, never washed a chicken in my life. Turks do wash chickens along with other communities. But I never saw my mother washing a chicken as a kid, and I'm still here. 31 years of living, not dead, so...live life on the edge, don't wash your chicken. Or do! I don't know, I can't tell you not to but I debate that one with my friends all the time.
Also, I don't wash grapes. Who's got time to wash a grape? I eat them straight out of the bag.
